120: Top SEO Result On Google With David Wood (Part 1)

In this episode David Wood breaks down some classic SEO principles that helped him become the top results on Google for LIFE COACHING. As well as some secrets on how to achieve excellence in whatever marketing method you choose.
My Guest: David Wood
David is a former consulting actuary to Fortune 100’s company. He built the world’s largest coaching business, becoming number 1 on Google for life coaching and coaching for 1000s of hours in 12 countries around the globe. As well as helping others, David is no stranger to overcoming challenges himself, having survived a full collapse of his paraglide and a fractured spine, witnessing the death of his sister at age 7, anxiety and depression. And a national Gong Show. He coaches high performing business owners to double revenue in their time off by focusing on less and being 30 % more courageous in their business or career.
Pivotal Moments:
· David was working in a big company in New York and decided to quit because he wasn’t happy with his life in New York and thought he’d be happier back home in Australia. When taking time off of work then he wondered what he could do.
· He always wanted to be an entertainer. Even though he couldn’t really sing he had a one man band and started playing at pubs, there was a national Gong show and he decided to go and audition. And actually performed on national TV.
· This is a lesson for everyone. What are you willing to do for the chance of your business taking off?
· David then moved onto Life coaching and happened to become the top results for Google search.
Advice
You need to pick one thing and go deep on that method and then you can become really well known in excellence in that marketing method.
The more focused you are the more successful you will be.
You need to narrow down on the who, and the what.
Current Struggle:
He had a real influx of inquiries, and they get to a point where they say they will think about it and then disappear. David is in mystery. If it is something about what he is doing. He is looking to see what he is doing wrong so that he can change.
Business Breakthrough:
When you see a tactic that s/1 else is using and you try and copy it it wont work You need to take the concept and adapt it to your style. Then it starts to work.
